Row change log - Retention Period

I’ve recently had a user query how long the row change log retention period is? We believe it to be 30 days based on our experiences and this article - Data Retention in SeaTable: How Long Are Logs, Notifications and Snapshots Stored? - but we just wanted to confirm?

And is there a way to increase this? We came from Airtable where row history went back 5+ years and has often helped solve issues

Is your question about SeaTable Cloud or SeaTable Self-Hosted?
SeaTable has different retention periods depending of what you’re looking at:

  • Snapshots
  • Row changes
  • Deleted Bases

Please be more precise in your question.
Best regards

I think the question is reasonably precise. The title refers to the “row change log”, so does the first sentence.

The row change log depends on the product you are using:

  • SeaTable Server: a configuration parameter
  • SeaTable Dedicated: 365 days (more upon request)
  • SeaTable Cloud: 10 days

You are asking about a way to increase it: In SeaTable Cloud, it cannot be increased as it is a setting for the system as a whole. In SeaTable Server and SeaTable Dedicated, increasing the limit is done in no time.

Thanks for this! We are currently on Cloud, but this might be a good reason to push for Dedicated!
