Right now I try hiding a column called “Initiative” but once I hide it I can’t actually edit in the row editor view below. How can we allow showing it and also show it in the order that it was showing when it wasn’t hidden not in some (hidden fields) section on the bottom like most other tools do it?
When you hide a column, you hide the column in the view as well as in the row details. From my point of view, this makes sense.
If you want to see the column in the row details, don’t hide the column. This is why you can create multiple views for one and the same table.
The reason for hiding some columns is because it’s redundant information in the grid view. For example if I group by initiatives the initiatives column still shows within the grouping rows itself which doesn’t have any benefit. I can move it to the far right of the table to make it “out of sight out of mind” but that is a workaround
Yes but what if the grouped column was 2 levels the “Initiative” with Single select and then “Initiative Description” Text column and I wanted to be able to bulk edit that “Initiative Description” column for all those grouped rows at once without having to show the redundant value for each row?
Sorry, I still don’t get it. (Your post has 51 words and a single punctuation mark at the end. You’d help me by structuring your ideas more clearly.)
