Download of files not possible from view shared with external link

SeaTable Cloud with Plus subscription.

When sharing a view with non-SeaTable-users via an external link it is not possible to download some file types such as .msg

We have a column with the column type “File” where different files are stored, e.g. emails that get the file type .msg when directly dropped from outlook. For external users, it is not possible to open/access/download these files.

In contrast, if I am logged in in another browser tab, it is possible for me to download the files with a click directly to the file into the table, but not from the window that opens when clicking the cell first. I attached two screenshots to show this behavior.

Please help me figure out what is intended and what might not be possible (yet). thx

This is the designed behaviour.

This is to reduce the cost of compliance. Users cannot share malware or other illegal files using SeaTable.

Okay, thanks for the quick answer.

For clarification, because we have a limited number of people we want to share mails with: When we create a new team with free subscription with user accounts for all necessary readers we could share the table with them, downloads of .msg-files included?
