EVM Control for a Renovation Project in SeaTable: Executive Summary and S-Curve.
I’m sharing two HTML pages I built in the SeaTable App to track a renovation project. It’s a test case for implementation: a 90 m² apartment in Madrid, with a cost budget of €64,879 and a sale price of €104,066. The data is read live from the project tables.
The Executive Summary is the quick view for management. It shows a CPI of 0.87, meaning we’re spending more than we’re progressing. The SPI is 0.92, so we’re slightly behind schedule. We’ve spent 17.9% of the budget with only 15.45% progress. It also includes the status of the 17 tasks and an automatic alert based on the indicators.
The S-Curve is the analysis view. The actual cost line (blue) runs above the earned value (orange), which confirms the cost overrun. Both sit below the planned value (green), which confirms the delay. If the trend continues, the project will cost around €74,997, about €10,000 more than planned (+16%).
Conclusion: the project remains profitable, with a forecast margin of 28%, but corrective action is needed now. At only 15% progress, there’s still time to recover.
It also works very well with tabs.
