By default, the page design plugin uses the column width from the table. When you modify the column width in table, the relevant column in the page design plugin also becomes wider.
But you can modify the column width in the page design plugin independently from the column width in the table. When you do that, the custom widths are hard-coded in the Page Design template. Once you have done that, you can change the column width in the base all you want, the column widths in the page design do not change anymore.

This has to be a bug, right?
I get the same thing.
If I Edit the table column width in Pagedesign it immediately reverts back. The datatable column width and it’s respective view have no effect on the Page Design of the table. Changing from the “default” view to a custom Data table view dones’t change anything.
It’s like the table column widths in Page Design are locked. It does let you kind of “adjust” them in the table edit mode but they don’t stay, reverting to unknown width.
