Restoring a deleted base from trash – web forms not restored

My Setup:

  • SeaTable Enterprise Edition
  • SeaTable Version 6.1.8

Problem:

I have noticed that when restoring a deleted database, although tables, columns, rows, views and links are restored, the web forms are missing.

Looking at the documentation I found that snapshots explicitly do not include web forms, automations, apps or comments. However, the help articles for restoring a deleted base from the trash do not state which components are excluded.

My questions:

  1. Is it expected behaviour that web forms are not restored when a deleted base is recovered from the trash, or is this a bug?

  2. If web forms are deliberately excluded: is this documented anywhere, and is it planned to include them in a future version?

  3. Are the web forms still stored server-side somewhere (since they have their own URLs / IDs) and is there a way for the SeaTable team to recover them on request?

Thanks in advance for any clarification.

Best wishes,
Alex

This is a known shortcoming.

This will be improved going forward. (Not a top-priority though.)

The forms are saved in the database. When the base is deleted, so is the record.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply. It’s a pity that this problem is known but, unfortunately, hasn’t been fixed yet. I very much hope it will be resolved soon.
