Rich text fields should not cause the page to jump

Your Setup:

  • SeaTable Enterprise Edition, v6.1.8 self-hosted
  • Chrome latest, Firefox latest

Describe the Problem/Error/Question:

Users accessing the webforms via the app are experiencing significant difficulties filling them out. Layout jumps occur regularly when attempting to fill in fields; for instance, when clicking on single- or multi-select elements further down the page (displayed as lists), the click isn’t registered, and the page jumps to the top instead.

I suspect this is related to the expanding/collapsing rich text fields (which I use at the beginning of the webform) or the focus handling. I can easily reproduce the problem when part of the open rich text editor is still partly within the viewport, though issues appear to occur in other scenarios as well - to a degree where it is even impossible to send the form.

I’d like to request an analysis and resolution of this issue. If necessary, I can provide access to the specific webform (outside of this public forum).

This is a bug, we will fix it.

Thank you, Leo. Since we are new Seatable customers, can you provide some information about the procedure? Do Seatable have regular releases with bugfixes? Is there a public roadmap that include such planned bug fixes?

Already checked that page before. It was hard to find the changelog – I had to open the release note, read the full text and find the changelog link there, finally. That could be improved

Thx

The link to the changelog is included in every release notes.

Additionally, there is a direct link on our help page (see below).

A Google search for “SeaTable changelog” leads you right to it.

Which part should we improve?
