since the new Update of the Universal App is no longer usable for useres without a Seatable account as before. We use it alot for customers and other external users, so that they can enter their information directly into the App. Now I recognized, that the only thing, a user without a Seatable accound can do is, to fill in a form. All other functions and fields like text fields are “read-only”. Do I have to change any new settings, to enable the former functionalities?
For modification to existing records, the user should register an account. It can be a free account in another team and then join the external app. It is for recording the modifier of a record.
This is a designed behaviour since beginning (one years ago). I don’t know why in the previous version, in your case, the anonymous external users can modify a record. I don’t think this should happen.
Could you provide more details about how you were able to modify records without authentication? This would help us investigate whether there was a system issue or perhaps a misunderstanding about the process.
SeaTable 5.1 has not changed the permissions of anonymous users in open access apps. Anonymous user have only read-only access to an app - in SeaTable 5.1 just liek in prior versions.
Do it like thousands of other people who have used SeaTable to develop powerful processes and get their ideas and tasks done more efficiently.
